Why learn Greek?

Learning any foreign language is an asset for life, but there are many additional benefits to learning Greek. By learning Greek, you will:

Our Classes


Lessons take place at our recently refurbished premises in Chapeltown, Leeds. Teaching is face-to-face, which provides the most effective way of learning. All our classes are small and are taught by experienced and qualified teachers. The course suits learners from complete beginner to intermediate level and focuses on the development all aspects of language development (conversation, reading, writing and listening skills). We offer preparation for the internationally recognised Certificate of Attainment in Greek (levels A1 to C2) and interested students are able to take the exam each year at the school we which is an approved exam centre. Private online tuition is also available. There are many opportunities for our students to experience the Greek culture by participating in the Greek Community’s cultural events and meet like-minded people!

 

We provide 28 two-hour lessons starting in October and ending in June at the cost of £420 for the full academic year (£140 per term). In the academic year 2023/2024 we are planning the following classes:


  • Beginners (year 1) class on Fridays 6.30-8.30 pm
  • Elementary (year 2) class on Thursdays 6.30-8.30 pm
  • Pre-intermediate (year 3) class on Tuesdays 6.30-8.30 pm
  • Intermediate (year 4) class on Mondays 6.30-8.30 pm

 

Location: Greek school of Leeds, 31 Avenue Crescent, Leeds, LS8 4HD. There is ample off-road parking.
