We teach. We connect. We inspire.

We are the Greek School of Leeds

Our Greek School is Recruiting!

We are the established school of the Greek Orthodox Community of Leeds, serving the Greek and Greek Cypriot communities of Leeds and the surrounding areas. We provide classroom-based, small group and one-to-one tuition to Greek-speaking and English-speaking pupils from the age of 4 years through to GCSE, Ellinomatheia and A level.

We are seeking to recruit a qualified teacher to join our friendly professional teaching team from September 2023 with the aim of promoting the Greek language and heritage to our growing pupil base.

If you are a qualified teacher, an excellent communicator, a team-player, and passionate about teaching and inspiring enthusiasm for learning Greek, we will be delighted to hear from you.

For further information and to apply, please forward your CV and other supporting information to Mrs Ioanna Papapoulia, Headteacher, at headteacher@greekschoolleeds.org.uk

News and Events

Our school invites all our families and community members to join the celebration of the 28th October 1940, in commemoration our country’s participation in World War two and struggle for national independence and freedom. The event will take place on Sunday the 26th of October at the community hall after the divine liturgy and flag procession.
Our pupils have worked hard and are delighted to present their poems, songs, and traditional dances to honour those who fought and lost their lives in the war.

Volunteers from the school and community will prepare souvlaki, and drinks and cakes will also be available; all proceedings will go towards supporting the school. Any donations of cakes and raffle prizes will be gratefully received.
All welcome!
